IRM1500 INTELLIGENT RADIO MODEM

IRM1500 Motorola RTU is based on SITARA Cortex with Linux Embedded OS bringing to the market the true advantage of real time Linux operating system incorporated with proved OSI 7 layers protocol communication! IRM1500 is equipped with metal enclosure and fully integrated with optional built-in ASTRO 25 data modem for 700MHz, 800MHz, and 900MHz bands. IRM1500 and ACE1000 share the same HW and SW platforms operating over Motorola ASTRO 25 Integrated Voice & Data (IV&D) radio system.

Like any other Motorola RTU, IRM1500 can accommodate at the same time OPEN and STANDARD protocols while in its new, compact, rugged and robust package, the IRM1500 is the ideal solution to “upgrade” your existing communication media to P25 without having to completely replace your current system. This versatile and powerful solution will facilitate higher reliability and interoperability at a lower cost.

MISSION CRITICAL COMMUNICATION

The IRM1500 supports IP and non-IP, legacy 3rd party serial devices & protocols to enhance the user’s ability to monitor and communicate with their assets over their ASTRO 25 for for 700MHz, 800MHz, and 900MHz bands. Once you migrate to an ASTRO 25 digital system, you will immediately receive the benefits of IRM1500 on a mission critical network for voice and data applications supporting P25 TrunkingData and ASTRO 25 Enhanced Data operation.

IRM1500 APCO25 modems can be expanded with multiple, simultaneously operating communication ports covering wide range of industry protocols. The communication capability is specifically designed to support secure communications over MOTOROLA ASTRO 25 IV&D communication links. Complex communication links from your central to remote sites are what make up a reliable and secure SCADA system. The IRM1500 allows PLC and IED to communications, along with advanced networking abilities.

SEAMLESS PROGRAMMING

The IRM1500 is easy to install and has the processing power to function in demanding environments and complicated networks. Your remote PLC sites can be supported remotely, reducing the amount of site visits you have to make. The IRM1500 open programming platform allows support and development of 3rd party protocol over serial and IP links. IRM1500 support industry standard programing suit of IEC61131-3 and Motorola STS to allow seamless integration into existing MOSCAD, MOSCAD-L, MOSCAD-M and ACE3600 based systems.

The IRM1500 is also certified and tested to meet IEEE 1613 class 1 specifications for high EMI and ESD levels. For markets such as electric utilities, as well other markets that utilize critical communication networks, the IRM1500 will provide secure communication options to remote devices. Ultimately IRM1500 is budget-friendly solution for M2M data communications,the IRM1500 is a compact and durable smart modem to facilitate use of planned or new ASTRO 25 digital systems.
