Gate2IEC IEC61850 Server/Client solution enables seamless connectivity between IEC61850 Server/Client to other standard, open or 3rd party protocols. Gate2IEC interoperates across wide range of protocols such as IEC60870-5-101, DNP3.0, MODBUS and IEC60870-5-104 protocols, enabling integration of various PLCs, RTUs, Reclosers, Capacitor Banks, Protection Relays, Switches into a single or multiple IEC61850 devices.
Gate2IEC Server / Client may act both as Front End Processor (FEP) or Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) or PLC. The HW platform is based on Motorola ACE3600 HW communication processor, operating over wide range of temperature at most harsh environmental conditions. Power Supply and CPU redundancy is optionally available to increase system durability in mission critical environments.
Gate2IEC is capable of monitoring and controlling multiple devices (Logical Nodes) at the same time over multiple standard protocols seamlessly and continuously. Conventional electricity or environmental devices having simple I/O interfaces can be connected directly to Gate2IEC while represented as IEC61850 Logical Nodes in Server or Client configuration.
Gate2IEC is the only IEC61850 solution worldwide to support seamlessly connectivity to Land Mobile Radio (LMR) networks such as TETRA, DMR and Conventional radio networks. Gate2IEC can handle multiple radios at the same time to enable radio links redundancy or connect between various radio technologies or to extend radio coverage.
