MC-EDGE is equipped with an IEC61131 Programmer based on latest WEB technologies. Programming Motorola RTU was never so easy, fast or intuitive! MC-EDGE supports internal secured redundant Land Mobile Radios or/and LoRa Radio or/and 3G/4G radio modems or/and Serial and IP communication links. This intelligent RTU protects your sensitive data from cyber attacks with end-to-end encryption. Full authentication, bulletproof access control and digital signatures keep your information safe.

COMMUNICATE EFFORTLESSLY

MC-EDGE CPU controls I/O module and PS attached to it and includes an internal plug-in board with either APX4000 + LTE modem + LoRAWan or APX4000 + LTE modem. MC-EDGE CPU is available 5 different models supporting, various communication port configurations for various markets and needs. The native communication protocol is based on the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model published by ISO while working over DMR, TETRA, P25 or any other media.  The protocol is capable of handling both small (single-frame) and large (multiple frames) quantities of data. A “mini-session” feature enables to “fire” short messages up to 160 bytes on a single frame (can be increased to 2K bytes) when dealing with short messages such as commands, measurements and discrete statuses.

On the other hand, at the same time, it can be used to transfer large quantities of information, such as downloading applications, database tables, and processes at the same time using the “Session” feature. MC-EDGE support up to 3 Ethernet ports plus various radios such as LoRa, 3G/4G and LMR. Motorola MC-EDGE is ready to support future radios and media to extend the communication capabilities furthermore.

SEAMLESS CONNECTIVITY

Supports both application programming in C or IEC61131. MOSCAD, MOSCAD-L, MOSCAD-M and ACE3600 C applications can be upgraded and loaded in to MC-EDGE. We can assist partners to write their own application through our standard or customized training courses.

The MC-EDGE RTU can include up to five I/O modules. Four I/O module types are available:
1.Input module with mixed 12 DI and 8 AI 4-20mA
2.Input module with mixed 12 DI and 8 AI 0-5V
3.Output module with mixed 8 DO and 2 AO
4.Mixed IO module with 7 DI 6DO 4 AI 4-20mA 1 AO

Due to use of native protocol, RTU can be programmed, configured and maintained locally and remotely over any media or communication network.  MC-EDGE supports all range of Motorola FEPs such as MCP/M, MCP/T, M-OPC, IP Gateway and ACE3600 FEP collecting RTUs data at run-time and provide it to the SCADA through standard protocols of DNP3.0, IEC60870-5-104, IEC60870-5-101, IEC61850  or MODBUS.
